I have been a book lover since forever. I've read, reread, lived on days on end on books. And as most of those who read, I did try my hand at writing. Well, they were funny results as they are going to be from now on. I have started many times till now. Made starts, and gave up when i did not reach anywhere. This is probably the first time I have actually kept at it until I even got till here and i would try to continue. I don't really expect my words to be masterpieces or well, my expectation is zero at the moment as i've just started.
All those who read this blog, please do keep an open mind (remember that the guy has never written more than essays and projects in school). Ohh and criticisms are welcome. Even HARSH ones. :) I don't mind.
I really had a tough time writing the first Chapter of The Mind Trap. I had originally got the inspiration from a dream but when i started putting up a Setting, Context and Reasons etc, the original was stripped to just a small idea and all the extra story and characters popped up. I started in first person and found that it was getting messy writing past events. Then i started in third person thinking i would write something like a POV (Point of View). I don't know what it became, but well this is the third version. I still had another idea that i could do a prologue and write all action items as ongoing.
Well anyways, what i mainly found difficult was showing expressions in detailing the action scenes to make it more imaginable. The use of better words and describing the scenery are things I've not tried yet. So anyway, even if you feel its a bit long and full of unnecessary details, please do read till the end and leave some comments in style, or any additions which i need to explain or anything extra which could be stripped off.
So here goes.
Hope I continue to write and in the process improve a little bit.
